Behavioural modelling is all about exploring potentially hundreds of alternative dimensions, each of which explores a different aspect of behaviour. The Q3 2022 release includes innovative new functionality within the modelling environment to help organise and manage multiple dimensions using selecting and tagging.
Schedule your email campaigns to run as a single instance or on a recurring schedule - on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Automate your emails to run at, or from, a required date and time and in a specific time zone, with your preferred recurrence pattern until an optional end date.
Share insights with your whole team but maintain control at all times of who can view or edit and share dashboards. Assign editing permissions and share insights and results with colleagues or groups, allowing them to interact with the data or restrict or withdraw permissions at any time.
The new Bing lsochrone API means the Point-to-Point mapping wizard can now calculate zones for larger volumes of records, efficiently, and with a user-specified level of accuracy.
Apteco now supports Apache Kafka message streams as a method to pass data to,
and trigger, Apteco PeopleStage campaigns in real-time.
Expression measures can now be used by dashboard editors to calculate values for
tables, cubes, and other visualisations.

More exciting developments in the modelling environment
The latest development to the modelling environment allows you to focus on finding diverse dimensions by using various methods of 'association' and can be used in both standard and behavioural modelling. We have also improved the organisation of behavioural features by adding new functionality within the modelling environment to help you to explore, organise and manage multiple dimensions by a process of selecting and tagging them. The Q3 release also includes enhancements to the chart zoom and reset zoom capabilities.
- Tagging dimensions allows you to make a more permanent record of a selection of dimensions that you wish to investigate further
- You can now simply drag out a rectangle to zoom into part of a chart or drag out a rectangle in the reverse direction or use the button in the bottom right-hand corner of the chart, to reset the zoom
Streamline your email marketing campaigns in Apteco Orbit
Apteco Orbit can help you to efficiently manage your email campaigns from start to finish. Create your perfect audience and then schedule your email campaigns to run at the perfect time, all from within the Apteco Orbit platform. You can then choose to either upload your audience directly to one of the 25 email service providers that Apteco integrates with, or you can schedule and broadcast your campaigns directly from Orbit. Orbit gives you added flexibility by allowing you to schedule your email campaigns to run as a single instance or on a recurring schedule - on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, allowing you to tend to other valuable tasks while your campaign runs in the background.
- Verify the accuracy of your selections using visualisations in the handy check panel
- Easily schedule your campaign in the audience tab, using the export panel - simply select your ESP, choose your message name and use the calendar to select the date, time and time zone you require
- Navigate to the campaign tab in Orbit to edit or delete a schedule, and edit the date, time or time zone in the publishing window.
- Conveniently automate your campaigns to run on a recurring schedule – daily, weekly or monthly, with an optional end date
- Filter, sort, and display campaigns by the next scheduled run date and time to help you quickly navigate to the campaigns you want to monitor or edit
Convenient control of shared dashboards for added security
Maintain control of who sees your key insights and outcomes by assigning editing and viewing permissions on your dashboards. Now your whole team can conveniently collaborate on the same dashboard – ensuring complete consistency and transparency across departments. Importantly you can also withdraw permissions at any time to ensure that your confidential information stays secure.
- You can assign permissions to individuals or to groups within your organisation
- Provide view only permissions for colleagues who you wish to share your dashboard with, but do not need to interact with it
- Assign editing permissions to ensure that your whole team is working to the same outcomes
- Simply remove editing or sharing permissions to withdraw access and maintain security
- Conveniently you can choose to notify users when you make changes to their permissions
Significant improvements in the Point-to-Point mapping wizard capability
Being able to identify the nearest branch or store by a drive time is a useful tool for many marketing teams, however historically calculating precise results quickly and accurately has been challenging. Now, for systems that have latitude and longitude variables marked with the 'geoformat' property, using the new Bing lsochrone API means the Point-to-Point wizard can calculate zones for larger volumes of records, efficiently, and with a user-specified level of accuracy.
- When specifying multiple centre points, you can select from several result type options and create a virtual variable for each centre point with the same parameters
- Use the point-to-point wizard to easily calculate drive time, drive distance, straight line, 'as the crow flies' distance and there is now also the functionality available to calculate 'walking time'
- Simply click and select the point-to-point wizard icon to start the wizard
Trigger pull marketing campaigns in real-time
Event triggered campaigns can be set up to react to new event information passing through Apache Kafka. These real-time event-triggered campaigns are therefore not restricted to the existing data loaded into your Apteco system, but can now process new registrations for example. The event can be optionally enriched with data from a pull marketing data store to deliver campaign output in seconds.
- A PeopleStage campaign triggered by an event on an Apache Kafka message stream can use data from that event
- The data output from the real-time campaign is retained for subsequent loading into your master data stores (single customer view or operational systems, etc.)
- The definition of the Apache Kafka message streams that you wish to trigger real-time campaigns is performed in the Apteco FastStats administration suite
- Once defined, the Apache message stream appears in your Apteco PeopleStage library as an audience segment and as a set of fields available for use in the content step
- Additional information fed from FastStats which can be used for extra content and personalisation
Create bespoke calculations and expression measures in dashboards
This new feature provides expert dashboard editors and analysts the power to create more complex calculations for where standard measures or calculated measures have reached their limits. FastStats expressions can now be used to calculate values for tables, cubes, and other visualisations and can be used anywhere that there is a measure in a dashboard tile. If you are already an Apteco FastStats user, then you can create the expression in FastStats and paste it into Orbit to make full use of the advanced features.
